Prayer for Pope Leo

Loving God,

we place Pope Leo

in your tender care.

Draw near to him

as he enters this time

of uncertainty and healing.

He who carries

the prayers of so many,

now must rest within our own.

May he feel the quiet strength

of a Church united

in love for him.

Guide the hands that tend him.

Bless their skill,

their judgment,

their watchful care.

Through their work,

bring healing and relief.

Christ, the Good Shepherd,

hold our shepherd close.

Restore his strength,

Give him peace.

May he know

he does not walk alone.

Amen.
