I woke up this Halloween morning to the news that the Dodgers had won the world series. Living in LA, my social media was full of photos and celebrations, and I thought about how nice it was to wake up to good news for a change. Then I thought about how New Yorkers and all Yankee fans were waking up to disappointment.
It made me think about the fact that at some point after our elections close next Tuesday, the same highs and lows are going to hit us all. Someone is going to win the presidency, and someone is not. Half of the country will be elated, and the other half will be extremely disappointed. So, for all of us who will travel this undefined, post-election road together, I have written two prayers - one for the Relieved Voter and one for the Disappointed Voter. Hope these prayers help you heal and move forward.
Thank you Claire!
Great prayers, Claire. Thank you for writing, and sharing these. I pray that these prayers go viral and open hearts and minds to start the process of healing our divided nation. -Joe P.
